
Ryokan (旅館) (Traditional Japanese Inn)
Ryokan (旅館?) Is a type of traditional Japanese accommodation that was originally created to accommodate short-term visitors. Today they are used as luxury accommodations for visitors, especially Westerners. Among other amenities, its rooms are made up of a tatami floor, collective thermal baths (onsen), gardens, and sophisticated cuisine with typical dishes.

As a result of the educational system, young men were exposed to classical, Latin, and Greek culture throughout their education. When they graduated, they would travel to Italy, Greece, and other places for further studies.
