Denmark
A great little Kingdom is a home to hygge, bikes, mouthwatering gastro experiences, historic castles, and savage Vikings.
Denmark
Denmark has been in the Top 3 of the UN World Happiness Reports over the past several years.
Danes enjoy high living standards, being a welfare society with free education, social security, healthcare, and universal pension.
Danes share a strong sense of togetherness and value the Danish concept of "hygge"
The Hygge philosophy consists of understanding life in a different way to enjoy it thanks to the practice of simple and comfortable plans as tools to achieve happiness and absolute well-being.
If you prefer to relax and wind down, then Denmark is dotted with old-timey seaside hotels such as Villa Vest and Svinkløv (home of the world's best chef 2020), where the main goal is to relax, put your feet up, enjoy good food, enjoy the fresh air and nature around you.

Sustainable Copenhagen is ”Best of the World 2021”
17.11.2020
The international publication National Geographic has announced its “Best of the World 2021”, where the Danish capital of Copenhagen is celebrated as a frontrunner in the sustainability category.
Copenhagen’s inclusion in the sustainability category points towards the city’s strong green ambitions and the aim of carbon neutrality in 2025. The network of public transport and bicycle infrastructure are mentioned together with clean energy production and specifically CopenHill, the combined ski slope and power plant which opened last year.

At a glance
Denmark is made up of the mainland peninsula called Jutland and over 400 scattered islands. The largest of Denmark’s islands, Zealand, is where you’ll find the capital city, Copenhagen.
Denmark is part of Scandinavia and shares similar geography with the south of Sweden, to which it is attached via the Oresund Bridge, and Germany, with which it shares a land border. The Kingdom of Denmark also includes the enormous, self-governing territory of Greenland, situated near North America, and the autonomous territory of the Faroe Islands.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Denmark
Denmark has seven UNESCO World Heritage sites and the great thing is that you can go on a true UNESCO hunt because in Denmark everything is always close by.
Denmark is smaller than most people think. You can fly across the whole country in 45 minutes, drive through the country in 4 - 5 hours, and get from Copenhagen Airport to the center of Copenhagen in 15 minutes by metro.
