The Talayotic heritage of Menorca
The Talayotic culture developed in Menorca and Mallorca, at the end of the second-century BC.C. The talayotic heritage of Menorca has a great cultural value, since it allows us to know the social and economic structure of the culture, how the territorial domain was organized and the type of rituals and defense systems used.
There are more than 1500 talayotic monuments scattered throughout Menorca. This archaeological treasure is so important that it aspires to be declared a World Heritage Site, not only for the quantity (more than 2 monuments per square kilometer) but for its high level of conservation. (Talayotic Routes here. )

The main characteristic of the Menorca Biosphere Reserve is the remarkable diversity of its ecosystem.

The Marine Reserve
of the North of Menorca was created in 1999 with the dual objective of protecting the Menorcan coast and conserving the species that inhabit it and as a tool for managing fishing activity.
Since its creation, a gradual increase in the number and size of the species that inhabit it has been observed.

Menorca Biosphere Reserve commits to protecting the quality of its night skies, in addition to reducing light pollution and energy usage.
Finally, this goal will be achieved when Menorca is certified as a Starlight Friendly Location upon meeting certain standards.

On the island of Menorca, you can enjoy clear blue waters and sandy beaches. You'll love Puerto de Alcudia’s pristine white shores and Cala en Turqueta’s turquoise waters that end on a sandy shore.
The beaches of Cala Mitjana, Binidalí, Turqueta and Binigaus are all pretty. The sea is turquoise-blue and the pine trees add an air of calm. You'll be charmed by their unspoiled beauty!
